I was already pretty wet from the rain, but now I'm soaked...

I assume that people already know about the large pink octopus in the lake--it's too big and [pause] friendly for it to have lived there for long without someone seeing it--and that it isn't dangerous, since I'm still alive.

Is there any way I can stop it from dragging me underwater again, other than just staying away from the lake?

Ah, you should stay away from the edge of the lake and run when you need to.

Too bad. If it weren't raining it would have been a nice lake to just sit by.

Maybe you can offer her a gift to keep her preoccupied long enough to sit by the lake for a spell?
