The memories are shadows, ink on the page

[Backdated slightly to shortly after his birth, on the 8th. The drawing is... so not mine, lolz.

A few small drops of ink, as he hesitates before putting pen to paper. The words look awkward and stiff, and there are ink splatters here and there; someone isn't used to writing with a pen.]

Before I do anything else I need a better coat, and maybe some other clothes. This place isn't the warmest. Is there a shop or something that sells clothes? What else is for sale in that 'Bazaar' place?

Sky said I had to get a job or I'll get kicked out eventually. [Slight pause here before the writing resumes.] I saw the list so I know what jobs there are, but can someone tell me what the duties are of… say, an adventurer. Or what the duties are of any job, I'm keeping my options open here.
