[Forward dated to sometime in the morning of August 15th, idek.]

[Water drips on the page for nearly a minute before any writing appears.]

Well, that's different. I can't say today started off boring, at least.

The Wilderness has changed into [pause, more water drips] something very interesting this time.

[Bellflower glanced up in surprise as an unfamiliar figure entered the breakroom. She would certainly remember hair like that. As the woman started trying to dry her hair, Bellflower caught a better glimpse of her face - and recognition struck unexpectedly.]

Cloud-san...?

[Cloud had noticed someone out of the corner of his eye when he first came into the room, but had been more interested in drying off than seeing who it was. He turned as a familiar voice called his name (careful to hold his left eye closed, as his hair was now too long to reliably conceal it), to see who it was.

Bellflower. Well, she worked here, so it only made sense he might have run into her today... still swiping at his hair with the towel, he nodded at her. This was awkward, but no reason to be impolite.]

Bellflower-san. [His voice was a good octave higher than usual, a minor annoyance.] Ah... good afternoon.

[Well, she certainly hadn't expected that. Though with some of the journal entries...perhaps she should have. She didn't want to make him feel more uncomfortable about the situation by commenting on it, so she simply gave him a pleasant smile.]

Good afternoon. Would you like some help with your hair?

[He paused for a second, before giving a huffing sort of laugh and nodding again.] If you don't mind. I'm not... used to this. [And, quite frankly, he kind of hoped he never would be.]

...it wouldn't be so bad if it would just stay out of the way. Or if it was shorter.

Hmm.

[Bellflower tapped her lip thoughtfully for a moment, and then rose, heading for her locker and pulling her shoulder bag out of it. It only took a moment of rummaging before she came up with one of her extra hair ties.]

She returned to where 'he' stood, and held out a hand.]

Hand me the towel - I think I get get it fixed up.

[...this was just getting more awkward by the moment. He hesitated for a moment, really not comfortable with someone he barely knew touching him, much less doing something with his hair, but at this point he didn't have much of a choice. He was late enough as it was--if he wanted to stay human, no matter what sex, he'd better get dry and changed before Lezard decided he was too late. He gave her a muted smile as he handed over the towel.] Thanks.

...do you want me to sit down, or... [He made a vague gesture to indicate he stay standing, hoping it looked natural and easy, and not as uncomfortable as he felt.]

Standing should be fine.

[She took the towel from Cloud, and moved to stand behind him. She wrapped the somewhat damp towel around the rest of the long hair, and gave it a good wring to get as much of the water left out.

That done, she tossed the towel over one shoulder, and set to work separating the hair into three parts and braiding it quickly. It was not the neatest job she had done, but it was serviceable, and soon enough she finished it off with a hair tie, and stood back.]

There.

[Cloud held himself still while she worked on his hair, smothering the urge to turn his head and see just what she was doing back there. It was only when she said 'there' and he felt her release his hair that he craned his neck to try and get a look at her handiwork.

A braid. He shook his head, hard, to test it--the end flipped back and forth in response to the movement, but it held together well.] Thanks again. [The smile broadened slightly.] That'll help a lot.

[He would have to remember to keep his left eye shut all day, but hey, Bell seemed to do that all the time. It shouldn't be too hard.]

[She gave him a small, amused smile in return]

You're welcome - I know from experience it can be quite handy in taming long hair.

[He chuckled. The sound was higher, but at least it still sounded alright.] So I can see. I'll have to figure out how to do it for myself if this lasts much longer.

[He gave her one last fleeting smile of gratitude as he turned to dig out a clean, dry change of clothing from his box, his thoughts turning to the shift ahead of him now that the hair had been taken care of.] I'm running late, but I'll see you again soon.

[He pulled out the necessary items, as well as a length of rope to serve as a rough belt, and turned to leave the breakroom.]

It takes a little practice, but I've no doubt you'll get the hang of it.

[She gave him a smile, and a small nod - it was getting time for her to go back on soon, too.] I hope you have no other troubles today.
